Why I chose an e46

I have had an e60 5 series for some years now. I have enjoyed owning it despite the odd big bill and I have found it to be much more reliable than many would have you believe. The biggest effect this car had on me though was to give me an interest in older BMW’s. My least favourite part of that car was anything electronic and I had a nagging feeling that I should have opted for an e39.

This was a strange year and it led to lots of big changes. When everything settled down, I looked for a project. I knew I wanted an older BMW, I eventually fell in love with the idea of a small e46 with a 3 litre engine as the car I would use.
