Ötzi 'The Ice Man' Murder mystery lesson

£0.00

A murder mystery lesson for Ötzi ‘The Ice Man’. A great wow lesson for the Stone Age topic.

I have completed these activities with a lower Key stage two class several times, the children have always loved these sessions. Make sure to check out the teacher information slide and cheat sheet to arm yourself with cool facts to hook the children.

Activity 1 - Reviewing primary sources in a group.

Activity 2 - Presenting conclusions to the rest of the class.

Activity 3 - Completing a grid to show what is known from a source and what can be inferred.

Activity 4 - Using knowledge about Ötzi to create a short story about his last 24 hours.

I created this lesson in my NQT year. I amalgamated a lot of other resources and put my own spin on them. Unfortunately I can not remember who to credit with some of the original ideas.

If you have any questions, please contact me via email.

We ask that you provide a valid email address - we will then email the resources to you. You have the option to sign up to our mailing list but no pressure! We will not sell or share your data.

Feel free to chop and change how you use this resource. I tend to do a week on this, looking and primary and secondary sources, what happened to Ötzi and creating a short story.

We keep an address field which is required for paid resources. If your product is a free resource you can leave a simple “-” and you will still receive your download.

Please read the terms of service before downloading.
